Dakota Fannings Signs On For An 1850s Biopic

Apparently Dakota Fanning has signed on for a new 1850s biopic called Effie. Emma Thompson wrote the script and will star in the film. Rumor has it that Tom Sturridge will be her lovah!  What do y'all think about that? Always a Rob and Kristen connection somewhere! --Ashes

 Dakota will play Euphemia Gray, who married famed critic John Ruskin. Though Effie was gorgeous, her husband never consummated the marriage over five years because he was disgusted by her body. In the end, Effie falls in love with Ruskin’s protege John Everett Millais.

P.S.- I tried to find a picture...For obvious 1850s reasons, that is all I could find!

Dakota Fanning showed up on the set of Now is Good today sporting some seriouslyshortened hair. Dakota was joined at the on-location London shoot by co-star Jeremy Irvine.

The film is about a girl dying of leukemia who makes a list of things she wants to do before passing away. At the top of the list? Losing her virginity.

That's your cue, Irvine.

What are your thoughts on Dakota's cropped cut? Think she should keep the look after the shoot is through?

Wow, sounds like a great role... not entirely dissimilar to Kristen's The Cake Eaters, just me?

What's Dakota Fanning Wearing at Wimbledon?

Update: Yahoo have uncovered that Dakota's pretty summer dress is in fact from H&M for only $30 - I'm floving it!

Dakota was spotted enjoying a thoroughly British summer at the 2011 Wimbledon tennis tournament.

Held just on the outskirts of London, I wonder if Dakota flew over to the UK to visit Kristen who attended the Glamour UK Awards and is attending pre-production meetings for her up coming movie, Snow White and The Huntsman - hmmm!

Either way, why not take advantage of a little VIP Evian tent action? Looking lovely, Dakota ;)

Dakota Fanning Graduates High School

Apparently Dakota graduated on June 6th at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, CA. I really, really feel old!

I am going to go all mommy on everyone here-- I am proud of her! High school is hard enough for a "regular" girl. Most young celebrities home school while they are working. Not only did she attend public school and film movies at the same time.. She cheered and was voted Homecoming Queen!

I imagine that it is not too easy to have friends whenever you are famous and in public school. We all know how catty girls are!
