Lady Gaga: On The Prowl In Paris

Proudly displaying her oh-so-unique look, Lady Gaga got a bit catty as she made her way around Paris, France on  (March 2).Clad in a sheer leopard print ensemble, the "Born This Way" hitmaker offered up an array of interesting faces as she toted a champagne glass while being escorted around the City of Lights by a few helping hands.

As for the nighttime festivities, Gaga made her much-awaited debut on the runway while partaking in Thierry Mugler's Paris Fashion Week catwalk show.Lady Gaga also offered up the first listen to a new track called "Government Hooker," which she's said is "one of my favorites" while adding that it "has more of a hip-hop beat."

She told, "We double-timed the beat. It's a super fast, really hard record, and the lyrics are really filthy. It's also empowering, but more in the direction of sexual female empowerment."

Lady Gaga Signs On For Japan Earthquake Benefit

Doing her part to help the victims of the Japan earthquake/tsunami disaster, Lady Gagawill perform at the MTV Video Music Aid Japan concert on June 25th.The “Bad Romance” songstress is the first name to be released from the sure-to-be-spectacular roster, also including international and local acts.

MTV will host the event at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center, located just outside the Tokyo metropolitan area.Gaga also designed and sold a special prayer wristband and raised $250,000 for rescue efforts in Japan.

Lady Gaga Readies For "Judas" Release

Always keeping her Little Monsters on their toes, Lady Gaga recently announced the release date of her upcoming “Judas” video.
But it wasn’t until the very end of her Gagavision webisode that the “Born This Way” let her fans in on the exciting detail.

In the video, you hear Gaga’s voice saying, “So that concludes Gagavision Number 41. Judas is coming. Let the cultural baptism begin."A message is then shown that reads, "Judas April 19. If they were not who you were taught they would be, would you still believe?"

At 17 she was accepted (early admission) to NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied art. Was signed to the Def Jam record label when she was 19, but was dropped soon after. Rap star Akon signed her to his label with Interscope records, and by the time she was 20 she had a record deal.

Has written songs for Britney Spears, the Pussycat Dolls, New Kids on the Block and Fergie. She took her stage name from Queen's song, "Radio Ga Ga." Her debut single, "Just Dance," was released in 2008, followed by her full-length debut album,The Fame, in August of that year. It earned critical acclaim and sold more than a million copies.

Many of her eye-catching outfits are manufactured by stylists and set designers known as the Haus of Gaga.

Her Grammy-winning hit song "Poker Face" was inspired by her bisexuality. She told Heat magazine that the song, which she performed on an American Idol results show, took all of 10 minutes to write. (She generally composes on piano, aiming first for a chorus.)

Lady Gaga To Receive CFDA Icon Award

It’s no secret that she has a passion for fashion and now Lady Gaga's work will be formally recognized by the New York Council of Fashion Designers of America.

The “Just Dance” songstress will receive the CFDA’s coveted Fashion Icon Award at the CFDA Fashion Awards on June 6th.

Set to be held at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, the 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards is one of the hottest shindigs for the fashion industry all year.

Past recipients of the Fashion Icon Award include Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss, Iman, and Nicole Kidman.
